A Circle of Drums, Women, and Dance

Connecting with life and joy, one drumbeat at a time

On Saturday, March 21st, Tonalí Lake House's grounds opened to ABUNDANZA, a women's circle of drums, movement, and dance organized by ExplorArte in collaboration with Tonalí and a circle of facilitators. Guests arrived with their own drums and instruments in hand, ready for an afternoon built entirely around free, conscious movement and biodanza.

ExplorArte designed the circle as a space to reconnect with the body, the heart, and feminine energy — an afternoon of sisterhood, support, and joy, open to every woman regardless of dance experience. The gathering was guided by four facilitators: Edna Mejía, a transpersonal therapist specializing in healing processes of body, mind, and spirit; Gabriela Morales, an adventure and travel guide across the U.S. and South America; and Nataly Caicedo Valencia, a women's circle facilitator and workshop leader — hosted at Tonalí alongside Rosa María Oliva.

This is the kind of afternoon Tonalí exists to hold: an organizer with a clear vision, a circle of guides who know their craft, and a lakeside acre that steps back and lets the rhythm take over.
